About Us

Moms Helping Schools™ is a special place to shop!

Moms Helping Schools (MHS) is more than just a school fundraising platform. MHS was founded because we, as mothers, care about “our” collective children’s education. We also care about helping moms and women entrepreneurs start and succeed with their businesses.

School budgets have been cut and our teachers, administrators and most importantly our children are directly impacted by this. One thing we see again and again is that parents, grandparents and caregivers tend to step in and do everything they can to fill in the gaps.

The purpose of the Moms Helping Schools program is to provide a new revenue stream for schools nationwide. When you proceed to checkout at MomsHelpingSchools.com, 40% of the total purchase will go directly to the school or education foundation of your choice (instead of where it usually goes -- to a major retail store). These great products -- that your family will love -- will be shipped directly to your home for your convenience.

Where does the money go?

* We are deliberately giving away more than we make.

If you are interested in having your school or organization participate in the Moms Helping Schools program, or you know of other schools (public or private) or non-profits in the United States that could benefit, please go to the Sign up for MHS page and fill out the form and we will contact you. There is no cost to the school or organization to sign up for the Moms Helping Schools program.

Purchases will directly and positively impact our schools.

Together WE CAN make a difference!

Thank you,

Tamara Monosoff (Founder, CEO) & Kathryn Rose (Principle & Chief Marketing Officer)

Dr. Tamara Monosoff’s life’s work has had two parallel tracks: helping women succeed in business and supporting education. In her role as Chief of Staff in President Clinton’s U.S. Department of Education, and her positions in the Clinton White House, she focused her efforts on improving and supporting high school and adult education nationally.

Following her work in the public sector, she expanded her efforts through her company, Mom Inventors, Inc.  As an award-winning inventor and entrepreneur herself; she has directly and indirectly supported the success of tens of thousands of women entrepreneurs. She has appeared in virtually every major broadcast outlet (Today, NBC Nightly News, CNN…) and print publication (Oprah, People & Time magazines and the front page of the Wall Street Journal…), is a national speaker, columnist, and blogger, and has authored four nationally published business books including her best-selling Mom Inventors Handbook: How to Turn Your Great Idea into the Next Big Thing.

As a mother of two elementary school age children, she has personally witnessed the crippling school budget cuts resulting in teacher layoffs, reduced program offerings and increased class sizes with the concomitant increase of pressure on school volunteers—mostly moms. Therefore, she set her intention on combining her resources to build an entrepreneurial, therefore sustainable, program that supports both schools and women:  www.momshelpingschools.com.
